Returning to God’s Heart

Teshuvah is more than a Hebrew word; it’s a call to return. It means “repentance,” but in its deepest sense, Teshuvah is about turning back to God with your whole heart. We often think of repentance as just saying “I’m sorry,” but biblical Teshuvah is much more—it’s a complete change of direction.

Recognizing Teshuvah begins when we feel the tug of the Holy Spirit revealing areas where we’ve drifted. It’s the moment we see our actions, thoughts, or attitudes in the light of God’s truth and realize something needs to change. But Teshuvah doesn’t stop at awareness; it leads to action. We confess, we realign our lives with God’s Word, and we walk forward transformed.

The beauty of Teshuvah is that it’s never too late. Whether it’s a small adjustment or a life-altering turnaround, God’s arms are always open. Joel 2:13 says, “Return to the Lord…

To anoint your home with oil, start by praying and inviting the Holy Spirit to guide you. Use consecrated olive oil (pray over it first), then go room to room placing a small amount of oil on doorways, windows, and corners, making a cross or simple mark. As you do, declare Scriptures like the ones attached to the PDF below, and speak blessings of peace, protection, and God's presence. In bedrooms, pray for rest and safety, in common areas, for unity and joy. Rebuke any evil in Jesus' name and dedicate your home to the Lord. Close with a prayer, inviting God to dwell in your home and cover it with His peace and protection.
