Before God releases a blessing, He often allows His people to go through seasons of testing. These tests are not meant to break us but to prepare and refine us for what He has in store. Just like gold is purified by fire, our character, faith, and obedience are strengthened through trials.
Biblical examples like Joseph, David, and Job show that testing is often part of God’s process. Joseph endured betrayal and imprisonment before rising to leadership. David faced years of running from Saul before becoming king. Job suffered intense loss before his restoration. These tests revealed their hearts and shaped them for greater purpose.
God uses testing to:
Expose what’s in us (Deuteronomy 8:2)
Build endurance and maturity (James 1:2–4)
Teach dependence on Him (Proverbs 3:5–6)
Prove our faith genuine (1 Peter 1:6–7)
Passing the test doesn’t mean perfection, but a posture of surrender, obedience, and trust in God's timing. Ultimately, the testing season is a divine setup for promotion and greater responsibility in the kingdom.
